Your right we should all run out to a "rub and a tug" to celebrate! :billb:

He did BEFORE the AFCCG... he wasn’t “celebrating”.... sheesh.

Great... so, consolation to NOT getting into the SB, is to play on Thanksgiving?

Just a thought........

There are three games on Thanksgiving now. Cowboys, Lions and then a night game.

How about every Thanksgiving is a repeat of the previous Super Bowl and the second game is the loser of the NFCCG and the loser of AFCCG and third game is the two teams with the worse records the previous year?

If that is the reason, then keep it as is.
That's how I heard it. Detroit took the game to see if they could get fans in the seats. Later on the NFL wanted to add a game. Other teams said no, while Tex Schram saw it as an opportunity to ensure the young Dallas Cowboys were on TV yearly with most of America home watching games.

What the hell is a whinny b? It is spelled whiny. If you are going to troll a group of people, at least know how to spell the insult.
Some of you are extra whiny so you get the extra N.

Well for starters there is no guarantee these teams will meet up again.

Schram was a genius.

Those teams don't always play because of the fixed schedule so that would require an overhaul to the entire schedule.

Plus it would also in theory penalize the SB and NFC/AFC championship game teams by giving them tougher games assuming the teams they don't play would not be as good.

On a serious note. I may be in the minority, but I hate the Thanksgiving game. It's a short rest which I don't like and I also have to listen to other people talking while I'm trying to watch the game. So if the Eagles or some other team want it, I say give it to them. Now trying to convince Jerry to agree would be a fruitless task $$$

That is true. Just use different teams each year. Fu@k Jerry Jones, he is the one that will keep it from happening. I think this proposal is to appease Jerry Jones and his cowturds will still be on yearly.
LOL
this tradition was started long before Jerry even thought of football. but sure. Blame him for the tradition.

At least we would have a better shot of good games on Thanksgiving than continually watching Detroit and Dallas.

Yeah, it is a huge money maker for Jerrah. Guaranteed national game every year.
