Sty, to hear from you how we beat the Eagles...
They have to find that early energy which I mentioned seems to have gone elsewhere in the league. Perhaps as part of their preparation this week Quinn can have them doing that group thing . Execution will be the key to this one... calling plays is one thing, making them work something else.

I thought the defensive strategy in the first game was pretty good, so more of that for four quarters instead of three. It a tall ask to have Marshon Lattimore go one-on-one against A.J. Brown, all day but that's what he was bought here to do, so yeah, Marshon, where he goes you go.

Offensively, I don't believe that they have the weaponry to counter what the Eagles have going on defensively so, they have to send a message from the jump by going deep on the opening first play utilizing D. Brown because of his 4.4 speed. If it connects great, and if not great, because it gives them something to worry about instead of stacking the defense to stop the run. Do this several times during the game to keep them honest. Beyond that it's grind, grind grind for easy first downs, taking the air out of the ball, and sustaining drives, something that they apparently couldn't do in the first game. (Hank Stram would call it "Matriculating the ball down the field" LoL) Jayden has to take the free stuff and Kliff has to do something rarely used this season... incorporating the RBs in the passing game, specifically J. McNichols against their linebackers. Now that, Ertz is out this has to be the new wrinkle that helps protect Jayden.
Btw; unlike the first game they must, must, MUST, score touchdowns instead of field goals.

I did like the game 1 approach defensively until Barkley got loose late. Lattimore should help. We have to run the football effectively as well. Don't let Jalen Carter take over. We need a few turnovers. ENERGY, ENERGY, ENERGY!!!

We are not going to stop the eagles on offense. All we can do is attempt to control the time of possession. We can slow them down by controlling the clock. To do that, we have to run the ball effectively and often. We miss Austin E. He was a very effective counter to BR. We need to be prepared for a shoot out. Hold them to FGs, not TDs, and we have a fighting chance.

The head coach insisted upon real competition, the clear answer is they have yet to reach their potential and others at this stage are the better options. Draft position, means nothing when the goal is fielding the best group.

Heard today from a guy that watches the All22 religiously, that Luke has been awful in the run game. Peters and Quinn like receivers that can block.

It's not his route running or ability to separate. Made it sound like he's missing blocks and that was part of the reason Dotson isn't here.

Look at Aiyuk and Deebo. They are hyper aggressive and will block.

Noah quickly became the number two. He can block. I'll be interested to see who gets the healthy scratch once Osborn is activated. (Oz or Luke)

Crowder is the PR. Luke does have the fact that he looked real good in KR last week going for him. We'll see.

Ben and Luke need this year to learn the NFL, its really no big deal. Ben looked great in some pre season games.
Luke has looked good too, however this is the best defense theyve ever been against. gonna take a year.
These nfl mockers need to quit writing them off

very interested to see what happens. DQ loves OZ but Luke has better hands. We will find out where Luke stands on this team with the Osborn move

Ben did look good in preseason. He was dragging defenders. Hopefully he breaks out Sunday.

The way to beat the Eagles was revealed to us by none other than Riverboat. Heavy heavy dose of running n going for it early n at times often on 4th down. Taking multiple big shots downfield n hitting on some of them. Plus it wouldn't hurt if the Eagles weren't on their game.

Given enough time, both will be ok going forward, however, their biggest threats are the moves Adam Peters makes during the off season. We can practically write-in at least two new WRs on the roster next year and perhaps another TE, both will have to step up, and @Dean, I think we have the answer, or at least some hint as to who they will keep active with the Osborn move... Luke returned kicks this past Sunday and Crowder is back.

JMO opinion but I don't think this is the year. If Washington gets in and has to play Philadelphia in the first round I think they could be 0-3 in that department.

A lot of us were looking for 7-8 wins so we are on gravy time, trying to win 10-11 would be a hell of a start for AP and DQ. Time to improve some more in the off season but the schedule will be a little tougher next year.

Jayden will have a year under his belt. He needs a WR and at least one OLineman. If you want to be a player every year you have to continue to get better.
