The Eagles and Steelers have both made the playoffs 12 times since 2000 with both having a bunch of playoff wins and SB's under their belts. That doesn't happen with bad cap management and clueless GM's.

I hear ya ... it's just that some GM's are really good at the "dealing with it later" part. I think ours is one of them, so I have faith it won't bite us in the arse as bad as some people think.

I really like the BG contract. I am actually surprised he signed that. Can't believe he could not have got better on the market. Its essentially only a 2 year contract. Though I realize he wanted to stay but still. That third year will be interesting

When you look at the overpays being handed out this year ... I think the Eagles have done a phenomenal job in the value department. Graham would have gotten a bunch more in free agency; Jason Peters' 1 year re-work is peanuts compared to the money Offensive Linemen have gotten ... even at his age he's still better than 70% of the OT's in this league. Even the Malik Jackson 10 mil per average is on the low side compared to what less accomplished DLinemen are getting.

On another note, did any of you read an article on BGN in regard to Deuce Staley wanted Tevin Coleman and had him rated as top RB FA? I want to hear Howie's reasoning for not pursuing him?
