Taking nothing away from those Nebraska teams.... They were awesome & fun to watch. Bama has done some no other BCS team has done, so let us at least enjoy our time in the spotlight with out all the butthurtness of what ESPN said, sheesh........

What both teams have done is very impressive but I don't really think you can legitimately compare two teams from two completely different times. The rules, athletes and the sport in general has changed over the last 20+ years so it's hard for to say (for me anyway) who's Dynasty is better. I'm just glad my team is part of argument.

Exactly right.

It reminds of the comparisons of Alabama under Saban to USC under Carroll. How can you really compare the two, when Alabama is in the SEC today, while USC was in a horrible Pac 12 in the early 2000's.

No disrespect to those Nebraska teams or their fans, I have tremendous respect for those teams, they were awesome. I love the dominant run game that those Huskers had.

but...I'm pretty sure I read somewhere the other day about how many more ranked teams Alabama has defeated than the old Huskers, and a few other things like that in our favor.

I feel like this Alabama run has been tougher than the Huskers run, in terms of the level of competition.

I really don't feel a strong urge to have to defend the Nebraska dynasty. It's not even a debate in my mind.

We can continue this discussion next year.

Alabama didn't have their head coach leave so there's an advantage right there.

In Nebraska's '98 season they started out #4 and rose to #2 before losing 28-21 to TAMU and then they just went into a tailspin.

in Nebraska's defense, their overall record for their dynasty years is better than Alabama's. Also their '95 team is ranked as the greatest CFB of all time, I don't hear anyone saying any of Bama's title teams is the greatest of all time.
