lol that was pathetic - and even worse, Kevin McHale had to take him out late and put in Beverley(I think) so that they wouldn't Hack-A-Dwight

People are still surprised at games like this? This has been his calling card his entire career. He'll pull out a 25 and 18 game one night and the next night he'll toss up a halfassed 8 and 12 game. Just save yourself the stress of asking why. It's clear he doesn't have the mental make up to be a historically dominant center. He is who he is.

Pretty much sums it up. That's why I don't even bother discussing Howard's game.

He's like a richer Kendrick Perkins that can actually jump and block the occasional shot.

Harden and Parsons are nice af I dont know why Harden gets all this hate. He flops yea............. But he does things to get fouls he hides the ball away so you slap his arms. When he euros into you he moves arms up while protecting the ball so you slap his arm. If he beats you on a step he will extend his arms out and shoot this is a foul since you bumped into his arm. Old school players use to draw contact like this all the time. And now Howard haters and Kobe Lovers think Harden is a flopper. Seriously when he gets fouled its actually foul even if he gets alot calls. And fans that think its just in the NBA hes been getting to the line his whole life. He just crafted his game for contact.

Wait a minute - WLK was telling me Dwight is the best and would produce heavy numbers for me. :wtf2:

Even with those numbers he got me 25 fantasy points... Don't confuse him not being dominant with not putting up numbers... Including this 25fp, he has 43.3fp for this week... A big reason why I have 317 points and your shitty team has put up a measly 264... He's a major reason I'm #1 in the power rankings while you're #11 out of 12 teams... Don't talk until you stop trading David West for Tyreke Evans or dropping Isiah Thomas to pick up Will Bynum... :L

Perkins is a year older than Dwight and averages 6 and 6 for his career (best season: 10 and 8 at age 25

Dwight averages 18 and 13 for his career (best season: 23 and 14 at age 25)

when he was the same age Dwight is now, Hakeem Olajuwon was averaging 23 and 13 for his career

Yes, Dwight isn't quit as good offensively as Olajuwon, but Olajuwon still flew out to L.A. and begged Dwight to play for Houston (and I assume promised to help Dwight work on his post moves being that Olajuwon lives in Houston), which you know Kevin McHale is doing every practice

Yea Howards been pretty good lmao. Laker fans hes not a coward anymore. Lets be honest do you want him for a max contract? It looks like you guys will get a nice pick in this draft and have a chance at a good free agent. Whether you like it or not Dwight was a free agent. He has the right to go where he wants to go. And a rebuilding Lakers team really wouldn't make sense for him or any superstar with almost every nba team going after you. Dwight had to play through injury but he still averaged 18 and 12 the real problem on that team was Pau, Nash and Metta. They just got burned by a lot of NBA teams with speed. I just dont understand why he would stay and why you would want him to stay? Nash was not the player he was in Phoenix during his hey day. Pau just hasnt been the same since his playoff run never developed a strong post game like his bro. I knew one day people would realize how to defend Paul he should of developed a post game earlier. Metta just sucked hes a chucker, and he thinks hes good. No speed and was an over hyped defender he couldn't move his feet who didn't go off on Metta World Peace that year?

Yall would of gone far if you traded Pau for a stretch 4. Instead of trading for Nash going after the point guard crops that were available. And signing a small forward with some decent athleticism and speed. Howard wasn't the problem. Anyway the hate should just die down by now. That Lakers team was assembled terrible by Jim Buss who basically put every player in an awkward position except for Kobe.

-he was never held to less than 11 points. And he was only held to less than 15 thirteen times in 56 games that year (14, 14, 13, 13, 13, 12, 12, 12, 12, 11, 11, 11, 11)
-and he only failed to get 10 rebounds seven times (9, 9, 8, 8, 6, 6, 5)

They showed a stat on TNT last night about how Dwight was held to 5 or less field goal attempts in at least 30+ minutes, 30 times in his career(I think this was the stat they talked about) - Shaq has only done that once in his career and Charles only did it like four times or something like that

McHale and the Dream have their work seriously cut out for them if they want to teach Dwight some post moves. Ten years in and he's got little.

Hey bks, if a Lakers fan posted that, you'd have called it "sour grapes"!!

The problem for Dwight is that while he is a game changer defensively, he is very limited offensively. However, Dwight thinks he is a game changer offensively as well and doesn't seem very interested in putting it the work to improve.

When he was with the Lakers he met with Kareem, spoke to Kareem about working with him and then never called. Steve Nash, who is a career 90%+ free throw shooter offered to help him with free throws and Dwight declined.

Supposedly he worked with Hakeem on post moves, but as Charles Barkley pointed out, the extent of his post moves amount to "standing in the post with his hand up. He has no leg action".

This is what Lakers fans saw from him last year and why most of us were glad that he ultimately left.
