Dunno how relevant Duke is but they are going to a bowl this year. What's Tennessee's holiday plans other than dumping a couple more cans of gas into the four alarm dumpster fire that is their football program?

The shit show that is becoming the SEC coaching search.

Florida gets maybe their 5th choice

Tenn, fucks up any chance of getting a decent coach, for at least the next 3 years

I love that if you google David Cutliffe, the wikipedia caption on google says he's the head coach of Tennessee, but wikipedia has already been changed back. Some excited Vol went and changed wikipedia before he turned it down, and google has preserved that change.

No reason for him to leave Duke.

He's 63...just finish his career there. He's making a couple of mil a year. Why
disturb that.

:dingdingding:

Cut is a good dude and not a bad coach, but it's best for him to just stay where he's at. He's got a good gig and no stress there at Duke. I don't think he'll be coaching much longer anyway.

Give me Les Miles if we're going to go the old-head route. Great recruiter and still seems to have a lot of passion for the game, and I'm sure would love to get back into the SEC.

Other than that, I'd take Tee Martin or Jeff Brohm.

It’s becoming pretty obvious that Tennessee is the next Pitt or Minnesota.

So 5-7 instead of 4-8?
Yeah, that gets the ol' noodle moovin'. :whoppdeedoo:

At least you would have beaten a top ranked team. Hell, last year you would have beaten two, including the national champs! Yay

Eh, we finished 9-4 (Pitt 8-5) with several wins over ranked teams, so I'll call last season a wash.

Those wins would've been nice, but overall record is really what matters in the end. Butch would've still been on the hot seat either way.

Does anybody actually want the Tennessee job at this point?

“Several wins over ranked teams”? Maybe I’m missing something but you only beat one ranked team and that’s Florida.

Even Ole Miss is 6-6. Just sayin.
