Ironically enough we play the Texans this week.

Sad day if you are a Broncos fan IMHO. He has been a very good player for us and his leadership will be missed. Good luck to him after this week.

It will be interesting what a mid-round pick turns out to be.

Time flys feels like just yesterday we drafted him.

Great player and great person. He gets more than a handshake. (No jokes please ;))

Glad it is the Texans. Could be worse. They can really use him with Fuller down... They seem to really be hitting their stride right now. I liked CEH's idea of the Saints though.

DT is a not the Diva that was the star WR when he entered the league. You had the likes of TO and Ochociinco. Dez followed more in the foot steps of these guys while DT was more like Megatron.

DT and a 7th to the Texans for a 4th and 7th. Seems like we should have gotten more.

All the best to DT, and in thinking about all the different phases he has been thru with this team : McDaniels, Kyle Orton, Teee-bow, whoa oh, Adam Gase, John Fox, Peyton Manning, Kubiak, Siemian, Lynch, Keenum, Musgrave, Vance ... geeesh, that seems like decades

DT was part of, IMHO, the greatest single play ever in Broncos history and that image will forever be imprinted in my memory ..

On the other hand, at this point, this move had to be done .. and I don;t think this is a case of a one time great player awkwardly wearing another uniform for a short time - I think he'll help the Texans, and best of luck to him ..

Here's a list of our recent 4th round picks:

2018 - Josey Jewell, DaeSean Hamilton
2017 - no pick
2016 - Devontae Booker
2015 - Max Garcia
2014 - no pick
2013 - no pick

The fourth round seems to be one that gets involved in trades

The Eagles gave a 3rd for Golden Tate. I would have thought DT was worth that, but Elway has never been good at trading.

Eh... Tate's been more productive than DT.

Plus, I think it should be taken into account that the Eagles 3rd round pick will probably be late and the Broncos 4th could be early or early-mid round.

I think it's about right.

The Cooper trade is a poor measuring stick. Dallas overpaid for starters - and even so... Cooper is young.

Houston is leading the Weak AFC South. So probably looking at around 18-22.

I can’t believe we got so lucky. To get a 4th for DT is a pretty good deal. A 30 year old WR who’s definitely trending downwards and drops 50% of passes got us a 4th in return, I say Denver did well.

But it doesn't matter where we pick. It matters where the Texans pick.

I agree sorta short changed in the trade, but I get it with the 14 mil dollar cap hit.

If DT loves us so much, he might have a chance to come back if the Texans rent him for half a year which is very possible. I don't see it happening, but just saying.

Yeah, I screwed that up. I'm tired as shit.

I still think a 4th is about what you can expect for a receiver on the wrong side of 30 like DT. I don't think it's that bad. It's a young player with starting potential coming in for you guys next season. That's a decent exchange.

I see a lot of people comparing this to the Golden Tate trade which I don’t think is fair. While yes they’re both 30 Tate doesn’t have the stink on him like DT does and also he’s a free agent so if the Eagles don’t re-sign him he could very well end up being a comp pick for them so they don’t really lose anything whereas with DT he still has a pretty big contract for the Texans to pay.
