The home run derby doesn’t mean anything anyway
They might be drafting cheaper / less talented guys out of necessity to pay leiter more money.

Hope his poor performance will not effect his trade value. Don't think it will but if he had not participated he would extinguished all doubt.I would have preferred Joey not even participate. Too many examples of dudes having their second halves affected by participating in the HRD.

Totally agree.Nah, don't think any FO takes the HRD into account regardless of result. At least they shouldn't, in my opinion.
Not much a marked for option 2 IMOHere is what I feel are the percentage chances of us making trades involving different players:
Kennedy----95%
1 of Culbertson/Holt/Dahl----70%
Gibson----60%
2 of Culbertson/Holt/Dahl----40%
Gallo----10%

I was going through who the Rangers had drafted today and in round 16 they drafted a high school pitcher who is 6'7" weighing 230. Now that is a big kid. His name is Ryan Ure from Eaton, Colorado and he is a lefty.
Same here and also for Gallo.Curious why only 60% for Gibson.
I like 12 P's. Ups % on finding a gem.Draft is over.
12 P, 3 OF, 2 IF, 3 C.
Can understand Gallo if FO is asking some crazy outlandish price. Not much a marked for option 2 IMO
The main reason is that they have had a hard time agreeing to a deal for good players with more than a full season left under contract. There is also the factor that too many teams could think Gibson's season is a fluke. There is also the tendency of the Rangers to wait until the last couple of days or so to make deals which increases the chance he is injured while still here.Curious why only 60% for Gibson.
To think Gibson is a fluke is unimaginable. The main reason is that they have had a hard time agreeing to a deal for good players with more than a full season left under contract. Not saying a team could think he is injured when he isn't. I am talking about a real injury that lands him on the DL. That particular factor was small compared to the others though, but it is a possibility. To think Gibson is a fluke is unimaginable.
I think a physical could remove all doubt of injury.
A full season left under contract is a reasonable concern imo.
