What would you grade the Ebron pick? I just want to get a sense of where everyone is at. The lions showed last year that there's 2 ways to close out a game. And as the Lions showed, you can lose a lead on Offense too. I think many people don't like the pick because they envision Ebron as a pettigrew type of TE, which he is not. He is fast, big, (bigger and faster than Kelvin Benjamin) can lineup inside or outside.

who is to say the current secondary doesn't pan out. Takes a few years for CBs.

Luxury pick. I gave them a "D". Only reason it isn't an 'F' is because Ebron does add value to the TE position, but a team with issues dropping passes doesn't need to spend a top 10 pick on a guy who dropped way too many balls in college.

None of these guys have even reached their full potential and some of you act like they cant improve on the things they need help with.

I agree with the statement that if we were going to draft a TE we should have re-signed Willie Young with Pettigrew's money. If that had happened, then the pick would be a very good one. As it is, our unbalanced cap will become even more unbalanced.

Wonder if Green Bay wants to trade for a decent-blocking TE with alligator arms? I'd do it for a fifth right this second.

I am in the B- C+ range. Huge upside but questionable hands. Bigger needs elsewhere. I would have gambled and traded back. There was still Verrett left at 18 and even Dennard.

I don't think it is a big deal. I think we can land 1 of 3 LBs left and then Jean-Baptiste or Gill. We can still come out of this draft in excellent shape.

want to wait for more votes, but from the looks of it, the results of this poll describe lions nation perfectly. Extremists for lauding everything the lions do, and extremists for bashing everything the lions do, regardless of the move. Not many in the middle. I am in the 1st group lol.

Gave them a C - I'm in the middle. Not sure of what to make of the pick, have no idea what the new coaching staff is trying to achieve. I was looking for more help on D, felt that BPA may have been Donald or one of the top DB's. Only time will tell.

He is not a luxury pick.

That is your opinion, to me, when you draft a one dimensional TE after signing your former 1st round pick TE to a contract right before the draft. It is a luxury pick.

Me. There isn't a single player on the roster who has a 10% chance to be a top-10 CB.

I agree with every CB on the team, sans Darius Slay. He has the potential to be really good and seems to have the work ethic and is doing all the things necessary to be really good.

He showed flashes last year, but also struggled, as most CB's do. Will be interested to see how he looks this year.

I have no hope at all for Bentley -- I only see him as depth at the position. Green and Greenwood more than likely won't be with the team next year, IMO.

Are you trying to take my spot as "Mr. Negative" on this site? I didn't even give them an F. I went with a D, though I was borderline F, as the Lions already have a TE with questionable hands.

The Dr. will be sedating himself tonight before the draft.

I either need something stronger or a better delivery system.

I didn't much care whether the Lions took offense or defense, but a fucking tight end!!!

At the time of the pick, I was kinda pulling for Lewan because I knew Smitty's posts would be particularly entertaining.

i am C+... B- range. he really does look like the 3rd best receiver in the class i like him a lot better than benjamin, lee, cook basically all the other smaller receivers with great route cuts. i just dont know how he fits in the offense with pettigrew.

i mean i understand you do not cut pettigrew leaving the blocking TE and ebron/fauria on plays cause it gives your offense a vanilla look when you know who is blocking and catching. it just seems like we could have played the resources better. honestly if they had traded back in to get dennard i would have given them an A
cause then you get a starter in the secondary and a 6'5 250 matchup headache (especially with tate and calvin opposite) as your 3rd receiver.

the war is far from over and yes there are definitely plenty of guys out there on defense that have plenty of potential to be great. least we forget sherman, shields, ike taylor and so many others

You are negative... The Doctor is a realist. Tpaul is a optimist. To you Lionstop1 is a antagonist.
