Draft another owner's handcuff - cash in?

Got pretty lucky and drafted Ben Tate late in one of my money leagues.

The Foster owner is HURTING at RB, with only Andre Brown backing up Foster/Sjax.

He realized his mistake, but it was too late.

I didnt draft a kicker since I saw Tate still on the board, and the Foster owner has asked me the past couple days when I was planning on adding a kicker, obviously with the motive of wanting me to drop Tate to get the kicker, which has 0 chance of happening.

Just got an email asking if I'd be willing to send Tate over in a trade.

PPR league, I have Morris, DMC, Murray, Bernard, Tate as my RBs.

what asking price does a handcuff like Tate have?
I consider him to be top 3 best real RB2's on any NFL team, and by far the top handcuff in fantasy to own this year.

Reports out today that they may be employing a slight RBBC there, according to Rotoworld. His value is shooting up there. In your spot, I'd hold on to him. He ain't just a handcuff.

Agreed with Sox..wouldn't move him unless the guy is truly prepared to pay for it...if you've gorlt a hole to fill, go for it..just make sure you fill the hole, not band aid it

Sorry but to give you an honest answer, I'd have to see all of both your rosters. It all depends on what you need if anything.

it was a super weird draft, I think someone said that he was already drafted, and everyone zoned on him, myself included. Then when I saw that he was still there, I had to wait a few picks before it got back to me. Again, I got super lucky.

I started as high as I thought I could reach - I offered Owen Daniels and Tate for Gronk

i would keep Tate make him pay make him pay...

or turn the tables and you go after Foster...

looks like he is going to agree to the Gronk for Ben Tate and Owen Daniels.

I think that will be a nice upgrade on my team if Gronk returns to form.

10th RB off the board - you dont think Alf has a shot at being a top 10 RB? I wouldnt reach for him any earlier than that, and in hind sight, I stated on another thread that I wished I would have taken Forte instead of Alf, since its PPR

With the whole royster/helu question during preseason last year, i just never trust mike shanahan and his RBs... I believe that there will always be a short leash... With RG3 coming back from the injury, there will be more pressure on morris to be the teams runner, and as RG3 becomes more of a passer the opposing defenses can have an easier time stopping the run... I tend not to trust sophomores in any professional sport, they get too much hype for playing well one season(oddly enough-and also hyprocritical- i am huge on trent richardson this season) I consider morris an elite RB2 but would not want him as a RB1.


As for Doug Martin-also a sophomore- his overall season last year was amazing... but dont forget that he had 3 games last season where he went beserk... he even had a 52 point week... thats just not going to happen again... if you take away those 3 weeks and instead give him very good weeks instead, he wouldnt be anywhere near one of the elite RB1. Also looking at the Bucs schedule, they have a much harder scehedule than last season, so he will likely be a disappointment... I have him to be a low end to middle RB1... I would take him as the 7th to 10th RB in fantasy... even in PPRs...

I thought I was kinda shooting the moon a little bit asking for Gronk, when Im only giving up daniels and Tate.

The trade for you is great... if gronk comes back... if he doesnt then what did you give up?? Tate is a handcuff, that is all he is...

I have Martin as #5 - the top of my second tier and not that far ahead of guys like Lynch, McCoy, TRich and Forte (just by virtue of excluding his best/worst game). Morris is in a third tier, just outside my top 12.

The trade for you is great... if gronk comes back... if he doesnt then what did you give up?? Tate is a handcuff, that is all he is...

Monkey i too love the trade
however i do feel that Tate is more than an ordinary "Handcuff" he will be getting plenty of work even if Foster is healthy ...and if Foster goes out early Tate can be a top 15 Rb

with that being said pull the Trigger..

or wait until the 31st if you dare because he either stays on the Pup list or comes off

if he stays on you don't want the deal...

is he a Texan fan or what Tate and Daniels.....
