If the goal is to win SB's then you either go real hard for Watson or build your own. There's not one other QB that's available or trade worthy, who potentially gets you to that level of play.

Dak Prescott if he doesn't get tagged

Jerrah is a nut, he's going pay Prescott, reluctantly, but he will pay. Prescott to D.C. or potentially to D.C. will be factored into his decision. I know that he and Danny are close friends, so unless, Snyder has promised his good ole' buddy that he won't come after Dak, Jerrah won't take that chance. I didn't count Dak because I really don't believe that he's going anywhere.

  • Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer reports the Panthers offered the Lions the No. 8 overall pick plus a "later" selection for Matthew Stafford.

Per Breer, the Washington Football Team also offered the No. 19 pick plus a third-rounder. NBC's Peter King reports at least one other team offered a first-rounder. Teams were coming hard in the paint for a player a week shy of his 33rd birthday, one who has had some injury issues creep up over the past two years. Despite his question marks, it cannot be debated that Stafford's talent is a plane higher than Jared Goff's.

We didn’t have the best offer or else he would be in DC . It doesn’t matter the year dean they get 2 1st round picks for the next 2 years and a Super Bowl qb and 2x Pb qb .

ok. now that I have seen the offers we weren't the bet offer. Cant believe they turned down #8. The Rams shouldnt be picking top top in the next two years. I guess they really wanted Goff.

Feels like the Lions basically asked Stafford where he wanted to go.

I think the Lions were playing the long game in accepting the Rams’ offer. It was better than #8 and a late pick.

The Rams are giving up 2 first round picks
a second round pick
and Goff, which will likely give them flexibility in drafting a QB and trading Goff for even more.

And you didn’t think they would get offered 13.

I said the 49ers wouldn't offer #13 which they didnt. that is why I thought we had a good shot.

But those two first round picks are going to be late first rounder's b/c the Rams should be a playoff team in the next two years. Detroit got a 3rd rounder this year from the Lions not 2nd. Detroit wanted Goff that is why the deal was done. They passed on #8 and a pick. Thats crazy

The deal was done b/c of Goff. The #8 pick is worth more than two late first rounders.

The Lions did the trade for Goff. So no other team had a shot.

They took that deal b/c of Goff. If you take Goff out of the equation the #8 pick is worth more than two late first rounders. No doubt about it the Lions did well.

Why will they be late first rounders? The Rams are in the same division as the Seahawks, 49ers, and Cardinals. The Rams are currently 35 million over the cap.
