Nice start for de la Rosa.
Second game in a row that Arroyo dropped his BA. Kid is a flash-in-the-pan.
Well actually in his first start, he went 0-3 with a sombrero.

He is to basestealing what Sandoval is to swinging a bat...In 2016, de la Rosa had 19 stolen bases, but was caught 23 times.
He's got to go through a cold streak at AAA first...to learn how to adjust.Another homer tonight, 12 game hit streak.
I don't think they should bring him up now, personally. There's no where to put him, and that's a ton of pressure to put on the kid to basically ask to turn this offense around. I'm already worried fans' expectations are going to be too high. He's not going to be a 20-homer, 100 RBI guy.
Now could very well be the worst time to bring him up.
What is the typical cutoff date for Super 2??He's got to go through a cold streak at AAA first...to learn how to adjust.
I think mid June.
I want to say somewhere around mid May.What is the typical cutoff date for Super 2??
A lot of talk today on KNBR that that may be what they are looking at for Arroyo.I want to say somewhere around mid May.
I remember questioning the Giants calling up Bumgarner and Posey in Sept 2009 because it started the service clock early on both of them. Hindsight tells me that wasn't as important as I thought it was.A lot of talk today on KNBR that that may be what they are looking at for Arroyo.
If that is what they are doing, I am ok with that. But the Giants don't have a history of paying any attention to that, so I doubt that is the case.

I wonder if a professional baseball player has ever made 100 errors in a season?Jalen Miller with his 8th error in his 16th game.
