And Jimmy Kelly.....I know he never won the big one, but the guy was a very good QB
yup. forgot him too lol

so 4 HOF QB's who started/and or played in the AFCE since 1984. PS realignment killed what could have been the best QB rivalry of all time had NE/Indy payed twice a year.

Manning played 17 years (1 year didn't play due to injury) & only spent 5 years in the AFCe. During those 5 years he has his only sub .500 seasons, '98 & '01. 2 of those 4 seasons he had 22 or more int's & never threw that many in any season again. Manning best statistical years weren't in the AFCe. The Colts joined the AFCs in '02.

AFCs- 9 years (1-1 in the S.B.)
AFCe- 4 years (0-0 in the S.B.)
AFCw- 4 years (1-1 in the S.B.)

If you wanna break a players career down by division I'd put Manning in the AFCs before the AFCe.
immaterial

peyton - started and played 5 years in the AFCE (or 29.4% of his career)
brady - entire career
kelly - entire career
marino - entire career

AFCE

Yeah...I may have said that after the first couple weeks but the Eagles have played 5 games and Pederson still has his head up his ass. I guess he likes the smell of his own shit.

Dude this ain't on Dougie, it's on the players!

Lane Johnson got his ass handed to him yesterday and the rest of the line is playing like an 8th grade team
Aghlor is MIA alone with other receivers
TE's can't block

And the secondary is playing like a bunch of pussies.....

My point still stands that Peyton shouldn't be called an AFCe QB.

ok, when did i say he was? i said the argument could be made, and i said he got his started in the AFCE, which is true, and he played almost 30% of his career games there, which is also true. so peyton did start in the AFCE.

the AFCE has produced 4 HOF QB's since 1984. i dont think any other division can boast that.

 It's actually a very good debate......
it is IMO

realignment screwed up the brady/peyton rivalry, and down the road, a rivalry that SHOULD have been better...big ben/brady. its a shame they met so few times.

Yeah it could've been twice a year, never really thought of it that way.....Clearly you can blame the Browns for leaving Cleveland and Baltimore gaining them...

He still played the majority of his career outside of the AFCe. You wanna harp on him playing 30% of his games in that division? It's silly but okay. He still played more than 50% of his career in the AFCs.

AFCs: 109-35 (.757)
AFCw: 45-12 (.789)

AFCe: 32-32 (.500)

This is my only point. He had more success outside of the AFCe. Of course though those 4 years were his 1st four in the league.

When your team is not ready to play and makes the same repeated mistakes over and over it is definitely the coaching. Case in point. Jalen Mills should only be allowed on the field in dime packages the fact that he remains a starter is a problem.

The offensive line is struggling and what does Dougie do he keeps passing. Since Wentz return the pass run ration is 70/30 and I don't care how good you are the defensive lineman has the advantage when they have to do nothing but pass rush.

I am as big a homer as anyone but to not see poor coaching is some serious blindness IMO.

:pound:

You're hilarious. Neither Peyton or Brady played in Marino's era. Why not mention Bob Greise & Joe Namath since you had to bring up a different era of the game to justify how long Peyton played in the AFCe? And statistically Peyton had the worst #'s of his career & the only sub .500 seasons in that division.
