Doc, you know better than that. I've been a Broncos fan since the 70's and damn proud of it. My point was obviously that we've had a good run in the last 3 years as AFCW champs. I'm referring to the Broncos seasons right before Manning. Don't put salt in the fresh wounds that I'm already dealing with, please.

Sorry bro as well. Should have known better. Just a little pissed right now at the same old b.s. from this Broncos team.

Look were all super bummed and shell-shocked no doubt. Especially me right now and apologize for jumping MH64`s bones but if you don`t see that having a "nice" last 3 yr run and not getting a SB is "really neat", then I don`t know what to say. This is/was prob the last shot under Manning to achieve that and now many of us are faceing the reality that isn`t going to happen and tere is def reason to be worried and less hopeful after today as far as that happening now with Manning. Now we have to be concerned if OZ can deliver, otherwise. you know how hard it is to find a "elite QB" in this league and if Manning can`t do it and Oz doesn`t pan out.....that sets a team back drastically no matter how good the other pieces are. I want to still be alive to see another SB victory for Denver so yea, I will panic a tad based on my age and their performance today.:)

randymon, I appreciate your apology. We're all in pain. Go back to my post and tell me where I said it was "nice" and "really neat" to simply win the AFC West. I said I APPRECIATE how difficult that is and that I don't personally agree that it's time to blow it all up. That's my opinion, that's it. I'm simply trying to say that I'm proud to be a Bronco fan....period. Obviously, I get defensive about my team when it's under attack We all respond to losses in different ways. Implying that I'm happy with a playoff loss or not winning is Superbowl is silly. It's the ultimate goal for all teams, of course.

Def apologize for my attack on your "fandom" MH64. How you view things and what is fine with you is your right. I have to say though buddy that it was prob bad timing for you and too reflexive for me,this soon after that ugly loss, my man. I should of stayed away till 2more0 at the very least before I got on here. As far as everything else that I said " except my stupid assault on you sir", those were genuine concerns and thoughts. I guess I have to root for GB now ( since Rodgers went to school in nearby Butte college". Anyway, apologies to you MH64 again and now I will finish banging my head into wall and try to get over this shitty feeling gents:suds:

It's all good randymon. You're right.....my timing was probably shitty but more importantly, I didn't articulate my feelings clearly enough. I was never trying to downplay the loss or imply that the FO shouldn't be looking for changes in the off-season. I guess since I've been doing this with this team for 40+ years, I've just learned to enjoy the ride a bit more. Trust me, I live and die with the Broncos on Sunday but between this board and the general board right after the loss, I was feeling like the Broncos were being attacked and I responded. Over reaction on my part as well. I don't post as much as many on these boards but I read through them every single day. You're a good man and a Bronco fan, so I'm compelled to like you even though we've never met. No more apologies. We're on the same team.

I'm not sure who to pull for now. I think I'll go skiing next weekend to be honest. Sigh....

Anyone but Seattle and New England for me but I don't see that happening. We shall see I guess.

Manning has an 11-13 career postseason record. He's gone one and done in the playoffs 9 times in his career, which is an all time record. What good is it having a great regular season QB when he consistently chokes in the playoffs? It's definitely time for the Broncos to go in another direction. I think Brock has a lot of potential and want to see what he can do. It's time for this kid to start playing.

Teams win and lose games not just QB's. Yes he has had some bad games but to just blame him isn't to smart.

I'm not just blaming Manning. There are many reasons why his postseason record is so poor. But it says something about a QB when he goes 1 and done 9 times in the playoffs. Anyone watching Manning through the years could see he wasn't the same QB in the postseason. His postseason play did not come close to matching his great regular season play. He's not one of those great CLUTCH QBs like Brady or Rodgers.

Once again football is a team sport. It wasn't the Indianapolis Lucks versus the Denver Mannings. Teams win and lose games not just QB's. Teams that he played for went one and done nine times. What part of teams win and lose don't some people understand?

Rodgers is clutch? In 6 playoff appearances, Rodgers has gone 1 and done 3 times and his record is 6-4. Take out his one Super Bowl run and his record is 2-4. Since Brady won his last Super Bowl, he has a whopping two 4th quarter comebacks or game winning drives. Pretty interesting considering his record during that time is 10-8. Too many people still living in 2004. Or completely overrating Rodgers' "clutch" gene.

Well I am as disappointed as the rest of the gang, but I'll say this: tomorrow will be no different than it otherwise would have been. I love the Broncos but once the season is done I'm ready to move on and see no point in bemoaning what could have been.

There is a lot to take stock of for this team this off season. Questions surrounding Manning, the coaching staff, and numerous players set to hit free agency. It'll be interesting to see where this goes from here.

I'm at a loss. Such a frustrating situation. 3 years of racking up wins......and each season has ended with a gut punch (although, I kind of felt this one coming leading up to the game).

Oh well, still bleeding that orange and blue.

I still trust Elway 100%. We will get it figured out.

Go Broncos!

Without a "clutch" kicker, Brady could easily be 0-5 in Super Bowls.

:agree:

One of the downsides of having a good football team is our expectations. The end to the last three seasons has been way more agonizing than seasons where the Broncos were not that good. It's the pros and cons of having a good team. As much as this one hurts AGAIN, I'd still rather enjoy seasons where the Broncos are always in the mix. I know we're all tired of this song and dance in the post season. It's painful to say the least....

Elway is going to really earn his money this off season. It will be very interesting to see what direction the team goes in.
