The vid isnt the greatest quality, but the meaning is still there! This is back in the day when the ND crowd was allowed to be the ND crowd, before all the fogies complained about the noise and standing up blocking the view of the game. And ... this is even before the stadium expanded. Texas A&M, LSU, Tennessee and Clemson fans can brag all they want, but I bet their crowds never got a penalty like this for the fan noise! God, them were the days at this stadium ... I still get a woody watching this. Turn up your speakers and bear with the video, Domers. Enjoy ....

That was one of my favorite football memories as a kid, I totally remember that game! AWESOME!

I cant watch the video because i am at work but I dont see how they can penalize for crowd noise. It is independent of the game and not a rule...

They used to give the home team an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty if the stadium got too loud for the offensive team to hear the signals being called. (which usually just made it worse)
