He claims that he wants to fight Floyd before he retires?

Thoughts?

I honestly think 10 years ago he would be able to beat Floyd

there weight differences are too big of a gap for that fight to take place.
Floyd fights at 147 willing to go to 154 at most.

B-Hop fights at 175.

with that said if the fight could take place. he is too slow to beat Floyd. Both being counter punchers B-Hop would have nothing for Floyd. The only way to beat Floyd is to either hurt him, but with their fighting styles wouldn't happen with these two. OR out speed him. Which Floyd is light years faster than B-hop.
B-Hop & his style would have no chance against Floyd.

If Hopkins had to go down 20 pounds, he'd have no chance. These guys don't have a ton of fat on their body. If it's a few pounds to make a weight class, so be it, but 20???? Floyd would destroy him.

That would be an impossible fight.. B-Hop has always been a Middleweight to Light Heavyweight.. Too much reach for Hopkins..

I honestly would still love to see B-hop vs Floyd Mayweather. B-hop, one of the smartest fighters I've ever seen, versus Floyd, the best defensive fighter I've ever seen. Floyd's got two fights left before he retires. Hopefully it's versus Manny first, since that beefs been aired out a lil bit, and then for his last, the winner of Canelo vs Cotto.

Same here, but he has no shot. Mayweather is always going to have the advantage in a rematch. Just get this fight nobody wanted to see again over and move on to the next one.

I agree, B-Hop probably could have done it in his prime but the best he can hope for is an outcome like Mayweather vs Mosley, where Mosley hurt him in one of the middle rounds but wasn't able to close the deal.

Mayweather fought like a bitch in the 2nd fight. Clinching every time Maidana tried to settle in. Kenny Bayless was pretty God awful too, to help out causes even more.

Is it me or did Mayweather look sloppy? He seemed to be focused on footwork far more than I've seen from him. Maidana almost laid him out with a counterpunch early though, he got saved by the bell.

It's sounding like Mayweather is more open to a fight with Pacquiao now more than ever, maybe he's setting himself up for a farewell fight? Pacquiao would have punished him if he came to the fight the same way he came in against Maidana, I'm sure Mayweather will train much harder for a fight against Pacquiao.

Hopkins is the better fighter p4p anyways. He destroyed Trinidad when he was undefeated. Destroyed an undefeated Pavlik. He KO'ed Glen Johnson. He beat Winky Wright. He beat Pascal too.
