Does Everyone Believe in Magic?

It was was awesome watching him run like that. Outside of NCAA Football on Xbox it was a long time ago that I saw a NU qb run like that. However I think he needs to really improve is passing for him to win as many games as we need him to this year. We still need to rely on his arm a lot and it seems to me despite the 100+ passing yards that he still has a ways to go in that regard.

Any thoughts?

ya, i'm definitely not sold on his arm. and would like to see him run against a decent defense too

Next week and Washington should be a better test. But I am not sure we will really know anything until K-State or Texas.

I don't forsee Nebraska exclusively starting Martinez at any time this season........the arm we need on the field is Green's arm. Both will play all year long

That worries me also, his running game could get shut down and that could be tough to get a win.

If Martinez starts and can't get anything goin, put in Green.......solved.

When he says that he is directly referring to the fact that if one man can't get it done, we have other options. He literally said after the game that Taylor and Cody are neck and neck, but Taylor just looked a little bit better in the days leading up to the game.

I really have a lot of confidence in our offensive outlook this season.......I know the QBs are young, but when the other 10 guys on the field are returning starters, that surrounding experience is very helpful.

i dont agree zac taylor and joe ganz was good enough and i miss those 2 quarterbacks last year lee was terrible i always wanted green to start. and im happy with T-mart and Green being in a good competition battle they are just not really proven much yet.

^^^^ we don't have those guys to choose from anymore. I didn't get to watch or even listen to the game because of a huge obligation I had to fill. It's hard for me to pass judgment on Martinez just yet when were playing High School teams, the highlights I saw and the stats looked good for him though and it looks promising.

What's up with Lee?? I was one of the guys that wanted him benched last year. Because he did was very good at times last year I hoped the injury was to blame for his timid/nervous play. I actually expected him to start this year.

I know, they should not have scored. Those early games are hard to tell though. Zach Lee was King of the sun belt last year.

exactly it goes for both offense and defense...Defensively it should have been 3 pts at most..

offensively we thought we were amazing last year going through the Sun Belt conference, but then quickly realizes against VT that our O couldn't do anyhting against decent competition.

And too be honest, our offense didn't look amazing against WKU either.
