They keep getting rejected. Romo, Peyton, Brees. They all said nope.

What is even with NBC Sports stockpiling the broadcasting talent? They have held onto Trico for years now and Al Michaels refuses to go anywhere. Are they getting rid of Collinsworth or planning to make a 3 man booth or is NBC going for a wider NFL package in the upcoming TV deals?

Also ESPN needs to go after Jay Cutler. The guy would be an amazing doesn't give a fuck about kissing players/coaches asses commentator. Fox had him signed a few years ago but then Tannehill tore up his knee and Cutler opted to return to the NFL for a forgettable Dolphins season. But no one else ever approached him about broadcasting after that.

Stick Cutler on MNF and you have a more watchable product guaranteed.

I vote for a wider NFL package.
More game options per weekend would be better.

I wish the NFL would just make the move of at least 1 Saturday every week of the season knowing the the NCAA isn't going to give up being their minor league.

The 1-2 weeks a year at the end of the season they bust out Saturday games after the college season has ended and wild card weekend is great.

I dont think the NFL will ever mess around with playing on Sat.

but adding another option to watch on Sunday would be nice.

Most places has an option of 3 games on national TV. Why cant we have 4 games nationally? (on Sunday Days)

I didn't think so either out of the NFL's respect of the NCAA providing a free minor league but the NFL has to realize with the XFL recently folding and the AAF right before it along with all the backlash the NCAA has taken over the years must make the NFL owners realize that abso-fucking-lutely nothing can compete with the NFL. They could move make one slot on Saturday whether prime time or not every week of the season and completely own that time slot. NCAA couldn't do shit either except watch and accept with with a little public bitching. NCAA is in no position to demand anything for the NFL except appreciate the fact that they haven't thrown their financial support weight behind any of the recent failed minor leagues. NFL could put the football side of the NCAA completely out of business with a minor league that pays 18 year olds until they have played 3 years to enter the draft for the pro league.

Maybe they could utilize a "no announcers" solution as NBC tried in 1980 with a game late in the season between the Jets and Dolphins (Jets won 24-17).

NBC sports also had ND football as well. Rumors are there are going to be some changes there. Tirico is gonna go to SNF after next season, and Flutie appears to be headed into his last year.

Romo, Manning, Brees?

These are white men with a ton to lose. Ever since ESPN said, "Let's get out of politics and just do sports" that's a HUGE red flag for white males. Basically at this point to maximize your money and protect your assets (yep) you need to bash the white man, say the black man is a hero, and that the NFL is being unfair to the black man... hence, go for a liberal network.

Romo, Manning, and Brees are intelligent men. They're going to go where the biggest cash flow is to spew complete bullshit while protecting themselves to the highest degree by saying... uh... 'people of color' ... oh God can we say that? uhh.. 'black people'... no that's not right.. 'PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT WHITE AND PRIVILEGED' THERE WE GO I GOT IT! deserve stuff...

I kind of ran out of points at the end there, but that's basically mirroring what NBC does anyway.

So is Booger and the other dude officially done? I mean if they’re shopping their jobs while they still have them isn’t that kind of fucked up? Lol

Trico & Michaels are play by play guys that will cover multiple sports...it seems like NBC wants Trico to share the stage with Michaels, both are good imo. Trico also does golf, idt Michaels does.

Still a good question because many think Collinsworth is the A list analyst on NBC, how does Brees fit into that picture? Why even mention it now?
