Dodgers lose tonight and I think plans will be drawn up for heads to roll. I think the Dodgers have a very legit chance of sweeping this series but 2 outta three is the least acceptable scenario.

That lineup is awful. Looked decent on paper prior to the season. But all of them are underachieving. None of them are clutch. By the way, Kershaw is a bettter hitter than Uribe or Gordon. That has to be the worst #7 & #8 combo in a starting lineup that I have EVER seen in my life.

Dodgers will get swept by the Brewers. We play like crap at home, but we play even worse on the road. The only close game of the series will be tonight. Kershaw will keep it close, but once again the Dodgers won't give him any run support.

I promise all of you that the Dodgers will get shut out tonight. They won't score a single run. How do I know that? Simple. After getting swept by the Braves morale is at an all time low. Mattingly's head is on the chopping block, our ACE is on the mound, we have one of the worst records in baseball, and it's on the road. It all adds up to a game where heart & effort will be needed in order to get the win. Since we have neither we will lose. And we won't score a single run.

Which isn't saying a damned thing.

I do think you're being overly critical. :suds:

Kershaw led Rickie Weeks off with a walk. If I were the Brewers, I'd be working pitch counts as high as possible every single AB to get to the Dodgers' pen.

Ethier must have got the memo to start performing.

Kemp got the memo too. At least that's two players that want to see Donnie stick around.

I totally agree. They're fighting for something and I think it's Mr. Baseball.

Game over. I could hear a big sigh of relief coming from the Mattingly household.

I think now, worst-case scenario is that there's no announcement before next Monday. I feel bad for Donnie, I really do. I grew up in Nashville and him and Steve Balboni hold every record ever set for the Nashville Sounds but the man is just not qualified to manage these guys. I wish it weren't so.

shoktart are you a weatherman? He doesn't get anything right either. Kemp done, Ethier done, the only thing you were right about is Kershaw is a stud.

What's sad is player's playing to benefit the manager. What about playing to win the game so ultimately you might actually win a championship? If you do that, you don't have to worry about the manager's status.

Well, you missed that one.

I was pretty close though. Kershaw gave up 1 run (which I predicted), and the offense completed SUCKED once again. I can't even remember the last time the Dodgers gave Kershaw decent run support.

There is no way the Dodgers can have a successful season scoring 2-3 runs a game. That puts way too much pressure on Kershaw, Greinke & Ryu to be perfect. Especially since the Dodgers are guaranteed to lose every game that one of those 3 pitchers aren't starting.

That's a funny statement. Kershaw prevailed!!!

The Dodgers were 0-6 with runners in scoring position. The only reason we won is because Kemp & Ethier happened to hit solo shots, which is certainly typical. They NEVER hit one out with a runner on base, that's for sure.

And is it just me or is Adrian Gonzalez starting to look REALLY old and REALLY slow and just done. He's surviving on mere talent alone right now. He has very little left in the tank. It's sad to see. He used to be one of my favorite baseball players to watch.

shoktart, I've re-read all your posts and you've never, not once, said anything that leads me to believe you in any way like the LA Dodgers.

It's just you. Adrian is doing just fine. If the whole team was playing as well as he is, we might be leading the division now.
