I will say, this trend of other teams 'pens shutting us down for 5 innings, the Dodgers blowing quality starts and then our 'pen blowing it as quickly as the 9th/10th starts is growing into a tiresome trend over the last two seasons. We have to stop wasting quality starts! I know it's early, but we need a fucking bullpen that pitches with consistency and some sense of reliability or else we will continue to stress our dicey SP rotation.

JP Howell is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad.

Yeah, I don't know what to make of him. He was the 2nd best arm the Dodgers had in the pen last year (world's tallest midget?).

He's in the last year of his contract (there's a team option for next year with a cheap buyout). The Dodgers have relief depth now. I hate to be too down on people so early in the season, but home boy is going to clean up his act in a hurry.

This new regime won't have any qualms booting him out and bringing up Adam Liberatore (hot DAMN that Dee Gordon trade was fucking awesome) or David Huff.
