However, as I've been sitting here reading the morning posts, it dawned on me that I haven't baked yet today. It also dawned on me that I've been confusing Swarm and Rob for some time now.

Just curious. How long have you fuckers been laughing behind my back?

It makes sense to me. The Lions had a chance to nail this thing down weeks ago and didn't. That's part of this. Winning the division will always depend on Green Bay and Chicago (and MN). You have to finish with a better record than them to win, period. The report doesn't say this decision was made last week, it implies it was made at the beginning of the season. That's what I'm getting from it.

I guess it would depend upon when the decision was made. On NFL.com there's a story and interview with Schwartz that suggests it was made before the loss to the Ravens. It makes more sense if it was made when they still controlled their destiny which they did at that point. Before the season I thought playoffs was asking a lot considering the schedule.

Coming into the season I assumed playoffs. Seems fair. Even if it means basing your decision off the fates of others. (That is kinda fucked up. But I like the idea of people having goals. Achieving those Goals or gtfo would be something this franchise could try.)

Yes i would like to see them make the playoffs. Is it realistic? No. Will it be embarrassing when we get dominated in the first round? Yes. Will it suck to get dominated in the first round and keep schwartz? Hell yes. Will the lions make the playoffs? No. Will they win another game? Maybe.
