When the season ends do you see us trading Cousins or RG3? Cousins could be like Foles who takes advantage of a injury (Vick-RG3) and preforms when taking over as the starter.

If Cousins remains the starter the rest of the season it will be interesting if the Skins decide to trade RG3 and what they could get for him. The last 2 seasons I have been adamant that we should trade Cousins. I was saying we could use a starter more with the pick that we get for Cousins then a backup who isn't on the field. So glad we didn't now.

So 2 questions.

1. Do we trade RG3 or Cousins in the offseason?

2. What could we get for either of them?

depends how cousins plays for the rest of the season. if he keeps it up then he will start the rest of the year and rg3 becomes trade bait. i say 1st round pick for rg3 but i really have no clue on his value anymore.

if he doesnt do well then we put rg3 in when hes healthy and keep both. let cousins finish out his contract here because rg3 still needs a serviceable backup due to him being injury prone.

back to my first scenario where they basically both are good, its up to guys like allen, gruden, mcvay and snyder to make that call of which one they want to keep. gruden should have the most weight in that decision.

1) Due to Cousins play thus far this season making #1 a much harder question to answer. Its too soon to make a call on that.

2) Can't say on KC, but for Griff there's more questions at this point than answers so not much. A 4th rd pk maybe.

You can't trade Cousins. RG3 is far too big an injury risk.

You trade RG3 for a first rounder.

Who ever we trade, it will be billed as a clusterfuck. If its Cousins and he goes on to be a competent starter else where and RG3 doesnt win multiple Superbowls, the trade will be viwed as a bust.

If we keep Cousins and only get one pick for Rg3, the trade will be viewed as a bust.

And god forbid the guy we keep flops and the guy we trade goes on to be a franchise QB... we will be a laughing stock... again.

Best case, RG3 turns out to be a franchise QB HERE, Cousins nets us a 1st or second rounder. But some how I think we screw this up.

Now it's time to really throw some dirt into this thread. Potentially, KC has about six to seven games left before that decision has to be considered. What happens if KC can't play and McCoy comes in and lights it up as KC has so far. Then what?

Then we really realized how far RG3 needs to come to be a pocket passer. If both McCoy and KC shine in this O and the line provides them adequate protection, then we have to question what the real issue was when RG3 was running the offense.

Before I get skewered, yes, I understand that RG3 looked good in all of the 2 series he played against Jax. But he also ran the ball twice, surprising the Jax D.

You're right, however there is much talk about trading one or the other, if McCoy shines as well, does this not mean that it is the system that allows them to play as well as they do? Does this not diminish their (KC's and McCoy's) trade value?

BTW: as I read your post I could actually feel the skewers being sharpened, good move to clarify!!

Interesting topic.

If it were me...I have to settle on one QB...if KC continues to play well, keep playing him when RG3 comes back. Trade RG3 in the offseason and draft a backup for KC. Value...expect a 2nd rounder.

If KC starts to struggle, I commit to RG3, trade KC and look to the draft for a another backup to RG3. Value...I think 3rd rounder.

Either way...I trade one of them in the offseason.

Going to say a 3rd Rounder for griffin at best unless some team is jumping out the window to get him (Doubt it).. It'll come down to what team others the highest 3rd round pic and highest second 7th,6th,5th conditional pick
