yeah I went and looked at his account on my other account. fuck he is delusional. that guy is serving his own brand of kool aid. what good is he doing but making HIS player clients look like asses with him.

thing is I believe him. but why deliver it to that? who is his audience. his soap box is for himself. I dont think he is making many friends this lockout

Let me step on it, Owners are going to offer to fund part of the "make it whole" for two years but want the 50/50 with no auto raises and most of the other take backs (with some wiggle room). the Fehrs are are looking at this meeting as a step to restart talks. In other words if the players are not guaranteed full unlinked pay they are not going to even talk. They have already heard what the league is going to offer and are only meeting because a section of the players want something done and are getting worried.
I don't have a link, this is just me making stuff up based on reading tons of tweets, articles, jokes and blogs.

I fully agree with this. I hate to say this but I think the Fehr's are handling this(this one meeting, not the whole situation) the right way, meet and give reasonable negotiating a chance to re-start & keep your boss(the players) happy at the same time.

In an unrelated note my wife just made cookies with chocolate chips and candied bacon. I dont know how she made the bacon candied (brown sugar?) but it is good. Now she is making pineapple and coconut ice cream.
Almost enough to make one forget about hockey for the day

Agreed.

However, it honestly shouldn't even take seven hours to get a fair deal done. A tweak here, a tweak there, but the two sides' proposals are not so far apart that even seven hours should be needed, much less the several months this has dragged on so far.

if this is true this is large indeed ... I bet alot of the owners are screaming at Gary/Bill to get this shit done because their side is winning this deal if they get to 50/50 ... they dont need to crush the players completely (... they can do that the next time the cba expires ) ... i think alot of the owners see this and want to get back to raking revenue
