IM being serious here for a moment. Think back to the end of last season.

Yes we had fallen just short of the playoffs, but despite that things were trending in a positive direction. Yes you had fans still throwing shade about the starting QB. But we also had a competent GM whom the fan base trusted to do the right thing despite his personal deamons which by the way had not reared their ugly head.

Flash forward to a week before the Combine. There is aingst over the fact that the Team President and the Gm were beefing.

The team failed (never really tried) to sign the QB long term.

Now we get to today. Again we missed the playoffs, after a season where almost half a rosters worth of players have gone to IR. The Free Agents brought in were a 50/50 mixed bag of performance. And again there is mad drama over the QB situation.

Through all this Wonder Bruce is silent with his devious smile.

Apparently things were just going too smooth, and they needed some drama to feel normal.

Scot was getting to much praise whether he deserved it or not. Too many "In Scot we trust," signs at FedEx.

They want to win, but more importantly they want to be praised by the fans and media for the reason the team is winning.

Gruden will get more rope because he's a Bruce guy. It took two different coaches to convince Dan and Bruce RG wasn't the guy. But he was THEIR pick.

Garçon was Mike's guy. They were gonna show everyone that Pryor was better. They were smarter than estblished football minds. Ego.....plane and simple.

Nope, I really don't believe that either craves negative attention, but unlike any comic or cartoon duo who, does it purposefully, it comes to them naturally. By almost every account Bruce is miscast in his position as GM and his actions as such seem to confirm that he's well aware of it. (Hiring Shanahan then McCloughan to those duties).

Snyder on the other hand is that rich kid who buys a new toy and like clockwork, grows tried of it after a time. Like having the G.I. Joe action figure, Snyder spent the first few years of his ownership collecting all the accessories that didn't come with it by purchasing the highest valued free agents that money could buy.

Now, after 18 years of ownership, remember he was only 35 when he bought the team, there's some hope that he'll change his focus from that of a kid in a candy shop, to collecting SB trophies. For veteran Snyder/ Allen observers, the key begins and ends with the removal/retention of Allen. Retaining Allen, means more of the same with the focus primarily being on building a new toy box, Removing him and there may be a SB or two in the future.

They crave any attention. Unfortunately, through their ineptness, most of the attention they get is negative.
