I think it is because they were bad dirty boys for some years. Now they deserve respect by playing clean, with a winner attitude, as it should be.

You have to a center and 2 players to each side of him as ineligible. The Cowboys had the “guards” and “tackles” lined up as wideouts. They could not catch a forward pass, but they were fully eligible for laterals.
