I can't say I'm some Stafford expert but if you can find a better game for him I'd love to see the stats

His very first game with the Rams was better statistically and I've no doubt that he had a few with the Lions that were too.

20-26 for 321, 3 TD 0 Ints 156 passer rating.

He also had > 40 game winning drives when he was with the Lions. Obviously none on a stage like this though.

So do I. But everyone liked the Packers chances. The 49ers were 2-0 outscoring the Rams 58-34. And last season they were 2-0 against them. Found this odd. But the Rams haven't beaten the 49ers since '18. Maybe S.F.'s the one team that gives L.A. problems.

But I thought I remembered his first game as a Ram didn't he have a perfect QB rating?

The first time the Rams beat the Bucs this year too. I don’t know about rating, but he threw 4 TDs and was about exactly the same with completions and yards.


There were some 5TD games in Detroit that were more impressive. And some huge yardage games where they came back to win rather than hung on in a game that should’ve been a blowout.


But this was to get to the NFCC, so I guess that’s a bonus.

Possibly, but 1 of the games was a 2018 Week 17 game where the Rams pulled all their key personnel. I'm a big believer in the jet lag effect of travelling East. The Rams had 2 East Coast games prior to the Week 18 meeting this year. Pacific time teams have an awful record in the week after back-to-back East Coast journeys. The 49ers winning wasn't a surprise to me. This time round the 49ers will be coming off the back-to-back East Coast double-header. I think the 49ers will be jaded and they'll play sloppy football. Additionally the Rams are better with Akers, (fumbles not withstanding), and the 49ers will be suffering from the injuries from the Packers game. There won't be a home field crowd advantage for the Rams but I still think they're a bigger favourite than they were in the last game. The betting line may not reflect that.
