I actually agree, he's an NFL player in some way other than QB and I think he's on the right team to figure out what that is. But the team seems pretty set at whatever that may be, TE, RB/FB. The pats have absolutely no need for a read option backup QB...none...if you want to say they need depth at QB as they start planning for life beyond brady? I'm with you, I'd say it's a bit early to be spending high picks on one...and mallett is as good an option as most QB's in this past draft..

Both..the Pats use a silent count, so...for the most part you're really only taking about the center and Qb...everyone else just crashes down to the center to create a pileup...

brady is good at finding creases and getting through...

But it's irrelevant...they currently have no problems with 3rd and 4th and short...why would they need a whole new wildcat package to accomplish something they, as a team, are already near perfect at?
