He is mediocre. His rating benefits substantially from an awesome run game and is as inflated by your playing style as his cumulative stats are deflated, if not more.

While I agree calling him one of the best in the NFL right now is a bit over the top by my fellow hawks fans, he is above average for sure. There are many ways of measuring QB's and not all of them are based on stats. Late game come backs driven and carried by the QB matter. Finding ways of winning games when you have NO line help in the passing game AT ALL counts. He has 17 TD's and 6 picks with half of those coming off tipped balls. I think only two can really be credited to him as just terrible passes.

What makes him above average is his ability to escape from trouble and make plays out of broken plays and/or make the right decision on when to throw it away. Decision making is huge in the modern game and he excels at it. Also his attitude and the work he puts in really does keep the entire team fighting harder even when they are down by 21 points. The whole team carries his never say die and never get too up/too down personality and that isn't something you can teach. The team would do anything for him and believe in his ability to carry the team to victory 100%. There are plenty of 'stat' QB's that don't have that.

Wilson's height does create problems for him. He has missed wide open receivers he probably couldn't see and he does at time get a tipped ball that a taller QB wouldn't have. I wouldn't say he has the deepest passing game in the league, but he has been able to hit open receivers down field in those rare occasions one actually gets open.

I can name a few QB's I'd take over him in the league, but not that many. A healthy Rogers, Manning, and maybe even Luck (debatable, but possibly) and if he wasn't on the tail end of his career throw in Brady just for his experience in the playoffs. Who else would we take over him? If I can only think of 3-4 that would make our team better how can we say he is mediocre at best?

That was à niner fan that said that.

No it wasn't. And I don't care who said it.... it was funny as hell because it epitomized what seattle fan has convinced themselves of.

I hear almost every member of his offensive line gives him a reach around in the showers. They will do anything to make him happy.

Haha. How about you saying that Kappy is the future of the NFL?

Oh, wait à minute, you'll just deny that too.

Slightly above average? Probably. Mediocre means right around average. Top 5 like you're putting him? Laughable.

Wilson and the Hawks adjust to the team they play, you cannot predict or come into a game with a single plan against Seattle,Seattle is a very balanced team that can change at the half in what they do both on D and O.

You can't refute any of the points in the post so you just write up something stupid that amuses you (and no one else who bothers to read your drivel).

We understand why you had to highlight that portion of it though. Kaepernick doesn't inspire anything but whispers on the sideline of "Oh crap, here we go again:L". We know your boy works hard and puts in a lot of time working on his game, but man is he ugly when the team around him breaks down or his receivers don't get open. Very understandable why you are jealous of Wilson's ability to extend plays. :suds:

I didn't say he was top 5, I said there are only 3-4 players I would take over him. That is a different thing. There may be guys who others would put as higher than Wilson based on their team and parts around them, but who would I put on THIS team right now with what they have over him? Kind of a different thing.

Who would you take over him for this team right now? Romo? No way. Rapelesburger? lol. Eli? LOL. Maybe you might throw Brees in as a possiblity, but I'm not sure he is a slam dunk over Wilson IMO.

If you can find 10 other guys you would take over him then so be it, but I doubt most here would agree with a list that big.

But seriously Wizard....

"Oh well my seahawks, they would just do anything.... ANYTHING... for their QB... They love him sooooooo much."

You should listen to yourself. What do you expect the fan of another team to do when they walk in on you circle jerking over a Wilson doll?

This is how Seattles perfect season goes...

Week 2... win the super bowl

Week 9.... win the NFC after back to back wins over two teams with a combined two wins.

Week 18... parade their bye week around like its a lombardi.

Week 19.... lose their first playoff game against a quality opponent.

Week 20.... Announce themselves World Champions....(if it weren't for all those nagging injuries)

The niners are way ahead of them.

They've lost to the last 3 quality teams they've played. Maybe they need to treat some of these games like the super bowl.

I know the win yesterday against the formidable 2-7 Falcons was impressive, but I don't think the Seahawks have locked down the NFC quite yet.

I mean...are you freakin' kidding me with this thread???

So my saying he has the full respect of every teammate and they fight for him equals me jerking off over him?

Says the assclown with a full sized kaepernick blow up doll in his bedroom.

You are so desperate for things to find to pick on today. It is both amusing and sad at the same time.

This thread is more about what the rest of the nfc has done.. namely SF losing to Carolina.

Seattle is in position that all they have to do is win the remaining home games (including 2 playoffs) to be in the superbowl.

You realize you are in a thread suggesting the seahawks have locked down the NFC in week 9 with a win over a 2 win team right? You are aware of that right?
