Yes. He broke the record. But, he needed more games. Most records being set in this era are being set for the same reason. It's not as impressive as Barry Sanders' record. But, it's a record. Records are based on per season, not averaged per 11 game seasons or whatever.

Barry Sanders is the greatest running back of all time. At any damn level. People with a brain know he had the better overall year. Yeah, it's McCaffery's record now, but that doesn't make it a better season. This is like trying to argue that Drew Brees' had a better record breaking season than Dan Marino.

IMO its a watered down "record" if its not on a level playing field. And more of a media story than a record unless its done under the same circumstances. If he did it in 11 yeah. 13 with one being a CCG its just tarnishing Sanders amazing feat

Rushed 29 times for 222.
Didnt have any receiving yards.
It said his total return yards was still 515 so that means he didnt do special teams in the bowl game.
So that means he had 17 passing yards, 2,850 rushing yards, 106 receiving yards, 515 return yards and 44 TD's. A total of 3,488 yards
