DH in the NL?

I felt like when the Astros moved to the AL West (bastards!) and balanced out the league that a DH to the NL was inevitable. I was trying to prepare myself for it. I can't. This news scares the SHIT out of me.

I don't want baseball to change from a game to a show. Adding the universal DH would do just that. It would completely signal that baseball is going for as much money as possible (which is totally fine, since it's a business. But it FUCKING SUCKS!) without much regard for the integrity of the game. I'm fine with a lot of the changes they made, and I'll be fine with a lot they make in the future (robot umps?), but this would be one I could not stand by.

You're giving pitchers 200 million bucks and you want them to get out there and risk injury?

This is an easy business decision.

I'm fine with a DH. I just want the two leagues to have equal rules. There aren't 4 strikes and 3 balls in the American League. I guess I would prefer if both leagues went without the DH, but I can sleep fine with two leagues with DH's

Exactly.

Just keep it consistent.

I think risking the pitchers health to hit when they're already automatic outs is dumb.

But at least have them play by the same rules. Especially in the post season.

Bunting is sucks and is stupid aside from a small number of scenarios. It only minimally increases your chances of scoring a run in most cases, and you give up outs in the process.
