That said: the Devils are the prime example of how flawed the NHL points system is. 10 OTL in 39 games. Just over 25% of their games have resulted in a loser point. Man. Similarly, they have 40 points, and 10 of those from losses. So, once again, a quarter of their points from losses. Just...that can't happen.

Yeah, but that also means they only have 13 ROW's, which really screws them as well.

Definitely, but under a better system, they don't get close to the postseason...which may be deserved when you look at their record in one goal games. 6-4-10.

What does it say about the current system that a team can be that inept and still be in the hunt for a playoff spot?

We were going down WITH Kovy in the lineup. I wish people would stop ignoring that.
