It's not terrible, some high upside if you ask me. Guy scored 12 goals last year in 44 games, that's 20 goal potential. If we can get 20 goals for $3 million I'll gladly take it.

3 million a year isn't bad for someone with upside like him.

It is good for him if he is so confident to turn Wings' offer down. Which would be also good thing for team who'd sign him.

Whats with this Brunner guy that make people want to pick him up?

All I see is a guy that played very well in some Swiss league and then played slightly below average at the NHL level.

He's short, already 27/28, and has played a whole 50 games in his career.

I don't think anybody is expecting him to be the answer, but he has skill and could probably help the team out. No long term, big risk investment type contract. Short contract for 2/3 liner money and why not? Not like we have a ton of talent in the system.

If a Brunner signing was gonna happen I think it would've happened already..Im hot/cold on the kid. His asking price is probably way too much for a kid with 50 games experience. He could be a nice add but I think we need to think bigger. Grabovski is still the guy I want. And Jagr on a 1 year deal would be solid.

I agree with irishwhip03 - Grabovsky for 2-3 years and Jagr for 1 year would very good addition.

I agree I see nothing wrong with signing talent to this team. We need talent.
