The misery continues. Kopech on the mound.

Taking out Kopech after 85 pitches with a no hitter going - of course. At least they only needed 10 singles to get a run across.

I know they've had him on a shortened pitch count this year, but you'd think at least let him get to 100 pitches and if he still has the no-no, let him go for it.

Nice No NO from Kopech - White Sox seem to still be able to beat the Tigers.

Giolito on the mound this evening.

Pollock really plays well in the leadoff spot. Sox win - Andrew Vaugh gets 3 hits and three RBIs, Giolitto gutted out 7 innings.

Congrats to the Good Guys, a much needed sweep. And much needed because our schedule is about to get very tough. 10 of our next 11 games are against teams with winning records, including 4 against the Astros and 3 against the Guardians. This stretch might define how the balance of our season plays out.

If we can get through it alive. The rest of our year really isn't too bad. A ton of divisional games. A couple other series against teams like BAL/SEA who are in the wild card mix. We do have San Diego, but it's only 2 games. Weirdly, it's couched between two series vs MIN to end the year. But nobody outside of the division like Houston where you go "Oh, shit". We also have ARI x3, KC x4, OAK x4, DET x6, COL x2 (at home, not Coors). Then, our biggest games with 6 remaining vs CLE and 9 vs MIN.

Minnesota is falling off pretty hard, though. It's beginning to look like our most important games will be vs Cleveland.

Have to find a way to survive this HOU series, though. We can't afford to get totally outclassed. Thankfully, we do have probably our best three lined up in Cueto/Cease/Kopech to start it off and a fresh Hendricks after today. Then, well... *GULP* Giolito the 4th game. Have to find a way to take the first two of three, most likely. Just hard to rely on Lucas vs a team like Houston, with how inconsistent he's been.

Cueto typically gives us a chance. Urquidy is good, but hasn't been untouchable. Will Robert be in the lineup? Huge question with TA out.
