Well that was fun. That one at Miggy's noggin really woke him up. Good consistent pitching lately. Upton is finally starting to come around Things are looking up.

It wasn't great...he bunted it too hard. Thanks to a great secondary lead and tremendous hustle by J-Up, it didn't hurt us.

To be fair to Romine and Salty, the rest of the Tiger hitters were a combined 1-for-19 through 8 innings. Aaron Sanchez was downright filthy.

Yuck, I know players have to rest, but I can't stand seeing Aviles and Romine in the lineup at the same time. I guess Maybin's wrist is still a bother, and Ausmus wants to give him three consecutive days off (counting the off day tomorrow).

The "One Hundred Club" is All-In today. You know you've got a top-notch GM when you can play your 3 man bench and they all have sub .200 BA. Add in Iglesias' .234 and Upton's .231 and you have effectively turned a potent offense into the 1962 Mets.

Truthfully....do you think Zimmermann was a little ticked-off when he saw today's lineup? One of the drawbacks of having a long term contract. You can't call your agent and remind him to bring this crappy lineup up in the next contract negotiations. Zimmermann just has to figure he has to hold the other team to under 3 runs. Thrive on the Challenge Zim!

He must've got a great jump. Thought for sure there'd be an out at third. Maybe more.
