Everyone knew Joba sucked when the inning started, how does Brad let that shitshow continue?

(I'm not even mad a Joba. He would have taken himself out if the roles were reversed.)

Right there is a perfect illustration of the inconsistency of the strike zone. Kinsler strike out in the 9th. That ball was not even close enough to consider swinging at but called strike 3.
Also Tigers pen is killing them so far but I like Soria as a closer.

Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander was given clearance to resume his throwing program Wednesday, the team announced.

Verlander underwent a third MRI earlier in the week on his injured triceps and was given the go ahead from his doctor to throw. Verlander has not pitched in a game yet this season after leaving his final start of spring training with triceps inflammation.

"He's got to start building up his arm strength again," manager Brad Ausmus said, per MLB.com, "basically from ground zero. We'll just have to see how it goes."


Maybe after the All-Star break we can see him if he doesn't have any set backs?

Kinda scary that our most consistent starter after Price is Lobstein. Three straight starts of at least 7 IP and no really bad blow-ups yet this season.

Castellanos and JD need to sit for a bit.. I'd say bring up Fields and start the 2/3 speed OF for a week or two.. Bat Fields 8th or 9th and hopefully the lineup will get on base enough to be a threat offensively.. Some good news is that V-Mart might be heating up..

Yeah I grew with up with Kyle and played on his summer league team. Proud of him for making it big time. Ausmus should let him pinch hit sometime because he could rake back in the day too.
