Regarding Iggy and Avila ... they can't completely ignore defense. I would be very surprised if there are any changes to the lineup from Tuesday.

DK starting based off game 2 when he went 2 for 3 .Even though he didn't get a ball out of the infield. JL is grasping here.

should have went with the lineup from the last game. But i have rooting interest in the next series no matter who wins.So eh either way. Would prefer to see the Tigers win, I just like the style of ball the A's plays over the Tigers though.

maybe JL is just rolling the dice hoping for a bunch of runs. With the pen, really with Smyly being inconsistent there is no option except benoit.

Yeah, I'm with you there. I'd say Smyly for an out, but that's all I want. Rick would be my first option, to face a right hander anyway, if Smyly can get one lefty. My hope is that JV can go 7+.

Yeah I like as much as Jose DeLeon pitching for the White Sox back in 86 against Roger Clemens. Took him at 3 to 1 in back to back games. Those were 2 of Clemens 4 loses that year when he went 24-4. Won a ton back then.
