That was absolute horse shit. As was the call on the "hook" of Abdivekader. One usually doesn't get a full stride before the "force" of a hook pulls you down.
Don't expect a shootout win from Bob 43. Anyone who has played for the flyers is taught to lose shootouts on purpose. It's the only explanation for how horridly bad they are in shootouts. They're like 1-64 on shootouts all time. (Suck it rangers.)
That was a freak play. Didn't look all that hard of a hit, just kinda got squeezed off and down he went. Tough luck for Carlo.
Can't be too mad about it. They got manhandled in the first and came out even. Got down by two and fought back. Took a ridiculous play to tie up, and if not for the horrendous call in the shootout woulda been two points.
Took them nine games last year to get three points. So, there is an improvement there.
And the refs are not in mid-season form, the hit on Foligno that was called boarding was sketchy at best. Guess they need some practice.
