“A clarion call should go out to the league and to hockey players everywhere,” Black said at the press conference, “that Buffalo is hockey heaven.

The term has been used as well in this following article about recent ratings:

Buffalo’s dramatic 1-0 win over the New York Rangers last night continued the team’s push for a playoff position, and was also the most-watched Sabres game in more than two years on MSG.

“In the five weeks since Terry bought the franchise, the fan support has been astounding,” said Sabres President Ted Black. “All of the games have been sold out, the ratings are through the roof and Sabres Nation has shared more than 10,000 ideas on ways we can improve the fan experience. Buffalo’s TV ratings on MSG this season have increased 27.7% since February 22, averaging an 8.3 rating. Last night’s game was the ninth with a rating of 8.0 or higher during this time.
