I give a rat's ass. I'm so sick of these backups and he is a backup wanting to run elsewhere at the first sign of adversity. No loyalty. It's his decision but I couldn't possibly care less. He played good for a part of one game last season, big fucking hairy ass deal. That is the one thing I totally respected about Tommy Rees, he was loyal to the team. No matter what anyone thought of him I will always have a soft spot in my heart for players like him. To be perfectly honest Zaire didn't even look smooth handing the ball off, he just didn't. Same goes for Gunner Kiel. I just don't respect the guys who want to run as soon as things don't automatically go their way.

That's exactly why coaches like to act like they're using a 2 QB system because they know if they name a guy the starter in August, the backup will transfer ASAP

As I understand it, Zaire can graduate in Dec. and grad transfer in the spring. I hope he at least tries to get his degree.

Hopefully Zaire transfers to a school I don't hate so I can actually cheer for him. I get that our defense will make any QB look good, but there was no comparison between the two. Wimbush would probably beat Zaire out next year if Kizer leaves for the draft.

I agree, its clear as day Kizer is the better QB. Im not saying MZ isn't good. He is and would make ND a good team but Kizer is at a different level. I mean we are talking about a 4 star Kid who was a back up and then almost quit football to starting and now Top 3 QB in the country(in my opinion the best) and has a good chance to be a 1st rd pick. Kizer is the one and I also think the rest of the players know that. MZ is a great back up for ND for this year. Next year if he does leave Wimbush will be ready. THis kid is also going to be a star at ND.

Wouldn't shock me if Kizer came back. He just seems like that type of kid especially if we don't make the playoffs. I know it will be tough to turn down the NFL especially a chance to go in the top 10 but next year he would be the clear #1 QB.

Can he pass that money up and the security? Look at Jaylen Smith....If he can be a top 10 pick, he has to go. He can come back for his degree, which I am fine with. I use to want these guys to finish out their college careers, but after watching what J.Smith is going through, I have changed my mind.

I agree... I mean even if he transfers he can't play for a whole year... I think he will become a TE for ND

No he would be a grad transfer. He can play right away after the fall sem.
