Boy do we need a play maker. That long TD run by Miles Sanders almost seemed surreal. We just don’t make big plays anymore.

With that said, Desean is practicing this week and don’t we just have to sit him? We are on our bye next week. Seems like a no brainer but we do desperately need a field stretcher in this O.

No way he plays prior to the bye ... he "should" be back 2 weeks down the line after the bye. At least he's out there running drills ... that bodes well once we come back from that bye.

However this Bears game is another critical game that the Eagles need to win and I say that if Jackson can play then play him
They need him
Patriots and Seahawks are on the horizon - both tough games even with Jackson in there
If I'm the Eagles I'm doing everything to win this Bears game to keep up the momentum and go into the bye week with a 2 game streak and if that means playing Jackson to help secure that win against the Bears then I am doing it

Fair points. I’m just not sure that we will need him to win this one overall. I think their defense is going to be rough, and perhaps not allow many chances to get well downfield.

All that said.....while I don’t think they should play him I could see him being suited up, active and waiting for a couple of points where it might make sense to have him in there. 3-5 plays over the course of the game.

Maybe even decoying some if he is good enough to be out there more.

I think they look to run it a lot (good Bears defense or not) and let Howard run on his old team. Keeps control of the game which would make sense.

Correct. Eagles are 2-4 in the NFC currently, need all the NFC wins we can get for tie breakers.

I'm surprised we are playing Jackson a game before the bye, but that tells me that the Eagles think another 2 weeks off wouldn't help with his injury. If he re-injures or aggravates his injury in this game I think they need to get on the horn with Antonio Brown's agent ASAP. As I wrote about on another thread ... I think we should bring in Brown regardless of DJax, we're not going far into the playoffs imo (if we even make it) without a healthy DJax or a player add like Antonio Brown. The trio of Agholor, Arcega-Whiteside and Mack Hollins have shown ZERO this season. It can't all fall on the shoulders of Alshon and our TE's .... we need a "legit" other option at WR.

Im hoping they were just being extra careful and pulled him. According to report he just “didn’t like” how it felt on a play. That doesn’t mean any kind of real set back. Maybe two more weeks will help it feel right.

Of course....all this is revolving around an Eagles training staff....so....yeah.

I think Howie really needs to think about the possibility of DJack not being a part of this offense moving forward and maybe looking into AB. I understand he's not the best of locker room teammates, but the Eagles will be toast without any talent at the wideout position.

Go get JJ Nelson in here, if nothing else he is fast ( 4.28 40 ) and as long as we throw a couple times a game deep to him it should be enough to keep the defense honest.
