When you said good hitter for his position, I'm thinking either C or second baseman or maybe even CF. Fisk has to be a HOFer, right? Fuck

I'm assuming he was a Yankee considering Randolph played for the Yanks and I think Bonds did for a year

The New York Yankees announced that McCann, Miller and former Yankee Jim Abbott are going to be honored at the 36th annual XXXXXXXXXXXX Awards, which will be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel on February 9th. The Awards are presented for success and inspiration on the field, and community outreach off the field.

This guy actually has Awards named after him

dude, I have to work!

OK, I've never had what'd you call a "real job" in the "real world," but if it's anything like how I've spent my prior two decades on this earth, it would probably entail me being chronically late, procrastinating on all my projects, and using the incognito tool on Google Chrome to read about baseball and dick around on threads like this

  • He hit 119 home runs and a .747 OPS
  • He won two World Series for two different teams
  • His father played for the Cardinals, Padres, and White Sox
  • He had the most bad ass goatee in baseball history

This game has taught me just how much we rely on BaseballReference and FanGraphs. Most of these questions could be solved in 20 seconds if you just look it up. But even beyond that, there is shit that you know a little or partly about, but your memory is fuzzy on it or you just flat out haven't committed it to long-term memory.

For example, there was a time I could picture a player in my mind and his position and team, but couldn't recall his name. It ended up being Lou Brock. And then, for some reason, my mind shifted Willie Wilson from center field to shortstop. I have no idea why. Lastly, I thought Trammell played the majority of his career in the '70s, when he really broke into the league in '77 and was in his prime for the '80s

No, but those two do have something in common (that isn't flattering)
