I have two episodes of Boardwalk Empire left. I'll let NE get this one. I can't believe I can't get a player who hit over 350 home runs. I thought I knew every player who hit over 300 home runs, but I'm starting to think I don't know him considering you gave me all his teams. Maybe I'll have an epiphany though
I couldn't believe the total was that high. I guess it pays to be persistent. He was a good Union guy--do what they ask but don't get crazy and do anything extra. It worked out well for him. He always made his incentive bonuses and earned over 24 million dollars in his playing career.

no, but great guess. I forgot about Chli Davis. But his career was remarkably similar to the guy I'm looking for.

Edit--Wow, the more I look at it Baines and Chili Davis had incredibly similar careers. I guess a couple subtle differences is Davis had a few years in the NL and dabbled in base stealing in those early years.

I've heard of Harold Baines, but didn't know his position or teams he played for. That was a good one

  • 2 time NL SB leader (1991 and 1992)
  • Won a Gold Glove every year from 1993-1996
  • ALCS MVP in the late '90s
  • Caught a fly ball for the final out in Dennis Martinez's perfect game
  • His 15 game World Series hit steak is the second highest of all time, behind Hank Bauer

I'm gonnna assume that Denny Martinez's perfect game was with the expos, so I am going to guess Marquiss Grissom

Was Grissom right? If not I am going to guess Delino Deshields.

Have fun with this one. He is the pitcher who has the best won loss percentage against the Yankees ever with at least 15 wins against them. He won 20 games at least twice in his career. Clue: He was not a strikeout type pitcher.
