My 1st guess of Roger Clemens was wrong. I remember when the Padres fans rooted for and cheered Sammy Sosa
and Mark McGiure to hit home runs against the Padres. Brown got pissed off and verbally attacked the fans.
I took the clues and tried to think of a pitcher that got pissed off and let someone know about it. Example; Clemens chased after a player with a bat.. The Art of deduction. That's how it's done!

So you watched this game on TV 15 or 20 years ago and you remember this incident? Sosa and McGuire weren't on the same team. I'm lost. Some incidents do stand out though like crotchman's hello to the fans or in this case if you saw Brown going into the stands.

Sosa and McGuire were in a home run race. They played in different games. The padres fans rooted for them
in their home stadium. I remember reading about it. I did not see it on TV. I was surprised that the Padres offered him a contract the following season, but the Dodgers outbid them big time.
Also I live in south Florida and I saw Brown pitching on TV when he was with the Marlins. He is no stranger to me.
