This is the exact reason he was very cautious.

He tore his ACL in his left knee a year and a half ago. This looks to be a right knee injury. Either way, he may still be around the NBA after this. But I seriously doubt he'll ever get a max deal contract again because of this. Luckily enough he can fall on that large Adidas contract and he just recently signed a max deal with Chicago.
