Word is 2 to 3 months. That could mean 1/2 the season. With Ware being a rook and learning the system we may only see what we have in him the final 4 weeks of the season. If he gets his 10 sacks I will have to apologize 10 times over for complaining about picking him.

Not trying to be the thought police here but I believe you mean Lawrence not Ware

Easily interchanged both being named Demarcus and playing the same position

Here's an opportunity for a guy like Martez Wilson - who is a pretty good player and is athletic as all hell. I remember some hype building when he came out about him possibly being a D-Ware type of player coming off the edge. Hope he hit the weightroom while in NO.

Yep. We were in agreement all along on that trade. And before anyone says ''freakish injury'', I will bring up the fact that the quote I saw was, ''TSmith drove Lawrence into the ground''. I'm afraid there weren't any TSmith's on the Boise State schedule last season

You would be correct. I've gotten so use to saying Ware along with Demarcus. I sometimes drive the same way. If I'm going someplace that's anywhere near my work I sometimes drive right to work. Wide hates it but I'm a creature of habit.

Before they put all these limitations about how many days in a row they can practice, with pads, no pads, blah, blah, blah, there were less injuries.

This two has been injury struck for years now. It was just a few years ago we all wanted the whole strength and conditioning staff fired. This IS NOT new.

Man, that sucks. He has talent but needed time to groom himself. It is VERY rare a first year end produced big sack numbers. THey usually need at least a year under their belt to figure things out.

Come on, you guys aren't going to actually act as if this injury in any way means this kid was a bad pick, are you? It's not like the knock on asking him was due to injury concerns.

Trading away high picks is a recipe for disaster. Look no further than the Julio Jones trade. We basically had no draft in 2012 when we drafted a slow corner. Now we have no 2nd or 3rd round pick playing for us this season.

I'm pretty sure Atlanta would do that trade all over again. Julio Jones is a mega stud

Living in SEC country , it was definitely enjoyable to watch JOnes and AJ GReen play. It was a debate back then who was better. I always chose AJ. Both are super.

Both are GREAT players. I do think Julio Jones has a little higher ceiling however.

I hated the trade before the injury. While TSmith is one of the elite young LT's in the game, there are 10-15 guys with a similar skill set out there. By every account I saw, Smith rag dolled Lawrence every time they went head to head. Look at the account of Lawrence's injury. Smith ''drove Lawrence into the ground''. Not real confidence inspiring

I realize the strength the team is the offense especially the o-line and keep hoping I read something positive coming out of the defensive side in training camp, but I haven't read it yet. What do you really expect out of the defense if they come out of training camp with what they have right now?

Really, our best hope is that we hit on several of the young players with question marks. Kids like Wilcox and Crawford need to step up and Mo and Carter need to bounce back. Otherwise, we're in a straight up bind

Mo and Carter are frustrating. Mo can't shake injuries and Carter is the model of inconsistency. This team reminds me of the old Rangers (except this season) when they could bash the ball with the best of them but no pitching..lots of 11-9 games. I fear the same type of thing with the Cowboys but hope I'm wrong and Marinelli can find a miracle.

I'm already prepared for the multi year agenda of bashing Lawrence whenever possible. I wish sometimes you guys could worry less about trying to prove you were right about a topic and more about what is or isnt presently happening. I see another Carpenter type boring agenda driven drama playing out. The guy is a Cowboy, root for him or at least wait until you have even the smallest amount of evidence that he may not be a good pick.
