The Dolphins have apparently signed Louis Delmas.

Seems logical, since that's where he's from and they had a need at safety.

Maybe we can swap them and sign Chris Clemons?

I think he played pretty well overall last season, but with those knees I think Mayhew was just done gambling each and every game. He was always a routine play away from being on IR for the year, be it the 3rd game of the season or the 15th. We got a good run out of him and he gave us fair value for the pick, but I think his best years are already behind him due to injuries.

I would bet he was getting torrodol (sp?) shots like a mofo last season and Mayhew got a first hand look at how damaged he was, or something along those lines. Otherwise you don't just cut a versatile safety who finally played a full 16 game season and was willing to pay for $3.5 million. There's more to that story, imo.

Notice how the Bills also showed zero interest, despite the likelihood of Byrd flying the coup?

I'm still pissed that not only didn't we draft Antonio Brown in 2010, but he went in the 6th round to add insult to injury. I would have taken him in the 4th in a heartbeat, but noooooo, fancy-pants professionals got too smart with themselves! We did land Willie Young about 10 picks after Brown was drafted, definitely one of Mayhew's better late round picks...
