If he's in his playbook he should have the basics of the match-up zone down pat. The rest is just physical ability. Gotta have the speed to be able to track guys down in space and have good change of direction.

Dejon gomes seemed to get it pretty quickly if I recall. Mizzouri 2009 was our first conference game and Gomes played lights out.

I just hope if what I said's true, he can lean on his physical talent to make up for it.

It's widely been speculated Bo will be doing a lot more blitzing this season. That means Mo will be playing a lot of man. It shouldn't be too tough for him to do well if that's what he's going to be asked to do.

That's why you see rookie corners start so often in the NFL. Throw them out there, tell them to stick to their man and rely on their raw physical ability.

I had to go looking for this but this is from this spring.

"He's really picked up the system thus far. He just needs to keep coming as far as the adjustments," first-year secondary coach Terry Joseph said. "I think base package, he has a pretty good understanding, but I think the more he reps it, the better off he'll be. And then he can be better with the adjustments as we go along."

Joseph seems to think he is going to be fine and my thought is that with Joseph we are going to be fine. I really like Joseph because the kids seem to really relate to him and he seems to put it out there in a way they can understand.

Bottom line though Seisay has fall practice and four games to be ready for conference play and I don't think that will be a problem.
