Standig was on Sheehan today and said he doesn't see another big move added to the WR corps. Deebo making 17. McLaurin needs an extension. Said maybe a tier two FA (paraphrasing) or someone at 29.

how is the offense not better with the signing of Adams? We are going to need the 29th pick to trade down or draft oline or dline. IF the window of opportunity is open now, we should take advantage of it.

thats crazy to doubt his talent. I disagree; he is a top WR in the league. He shouldn't be discarded b/c he is over 30
It is crazy to believe that his talent is what it once was! Do you honestly believe he's not on the downside of his career? How much do you pay for that downside which is not an insult to this player? How many years on the contract do you give him? How about guaranteed money? Business decisions are just that, facts over feelings, and here are the facts:

NFL wide receivers generally begin losing their peak performance between ages 25 and 30. The peak age appears to be between 23 and 30, with a more pronounced peak in the 25 to 29 range. Wide receivers in their late 20s tend to stabilize their production. Upside potential is highest from age 21 to 27, with a dip at age 28 and a significant increase at age 29. At age 30, WRs can still be productive, but their performance dips below their early years.

Here's his 2014 rookie season. Keep in mind Devante Adams is already 32 and his projected production (above) is below his 2014 rookie season.

I like Adams and he would make our wr room elite imo. He's going to want a big pay day and I'm not sure they want to tie up that amount of money into that room. Besides, it looks like he's going to follow Rodgers to the Giants or Steelers.

I'd definitely have a conversation with his agent just to check the temperature.

I would think he would want to win. If Rodgers goes to the Pitt than that makes sense, but does Pitt have the cap room for both?

Nobody said it, I asked you those questions and I'll await your answers. Btw; D. Adams will want more than a one-year deal with no guaranteed money, otherwise it's an insult to him.

Just a quick reminder... as long as they have JD5 the window of opportunity remains open. The difference between now and later is he's on a rookie deal now.

I think the Giants are the favorite now. Feels like Pittsburgh is gonna roll with Fields.

He would want to come here to win. So he would have to give a good deal for us. If he just wants money than go to the Giants You never heard vets taking less money to go to winning teams? Why couldnt that happen?
