Watching highlights of Deebo vs Philly reminds me of how impactful and versatile he can be. When I think of him I think of his exceptional playing strength for a WR but there is a lot more to his game.

It's a good WR class, however Deebo will have a lot less of a learning curve as an experienced veteran.

Stymietee,

RE Deebo as a WR2 or a WR3: I get what you are saying. If the Commanders can address the trenches through FA and the draft, they could still draft a WR or TE who could be more of the traditional route runner who creates separation and makes big plays.
I have no doubts that LT and guard are big concerns for AP, and they will get addressed, however staying on topic about WRs, there have to be concerns about the number of times that TM was shut down this past year. Freeing him by getting a true impact, game-changing pass catcher, means he no longer is matched up with the opponent's top guy (a mismatch in Terry's favor) seems to me to be a no-brainer. A move like that also moves Deebo to the slot creating another mismatch and because of the concerns against these three players, the run game improves while the TE runs free.

SN: I wonder if folks know that before Dyami Brown the last time Washington drafted/acquired that big gifted WR was in 1995, his name... Michael Westbrook. Neither Brown nor Westbrook panned out but that's a long, long, long time to go without trying to get one.

If the Jets release Adams I'd call even though he's 32.

What do the Seahawks want for DK?

Golden, Tre Harris, Savion?

Maybe Slayton is a different player with Jayden instead of Lock?

With an eye still on the Bengals and what they plan to do, I would love the D.K. acquisition but I don't see the Seahawks doing anything with him until after June 1st, because they would take a 21M cap hit with an earlier move. Interestingly, there are several players who could be moved after the draft including Metcalf and Garrett, which to me means future picks and more flexibility for Washington.
Now, I think a trade down at 29 is more likely. Perhaps they get a 2026 1st plus in such a move.

I'm hoping the Browns hold off on any Garrett trade until after June 1st. Trade down with 29 and send them 26 and 27 draft choices.

If the Browns were to trade Garrett before the 2025 NFL draft, which would be necessary for them to add capital, they would not only eat $36 million in dead cap, they would be penalized an additional $16 million. Nick Korte of Over the Cap (the most trusted site in terms of NFL salary cap figures and inner workings broke it down:

"It's going to be tricky for the Browns to be able to pull off a trade. They're going to be about $38.6M over the cap, and trading Myles Garrett would add another $16.5M in dead cap dollars to that. They'd really have to go to the restructure well hard in order to pull it off."
If the Browns trade Myles Garrett after June 1st, they would take a dead cap hit of $14.8M and cap savings of almost $5M. There's a big difference between before and after June 1st trades, and for the Browns, they literally have to wait to move him if at all.

I think there is a chance they just rip the band-aid off and deal him around the draft, but if they sign Kirk, that could be a signal that they plan to see how they look with Garrett up until the draft deadline.

I know Atlanta has been spreading the word that they are going to hold on to Kirk, but I don't see it.

you can't worry about the cap Commanders have the Number 1 hardest schedule (on paper)this year we have to spend or go 8-9 or worse
You always worry about cap. Lattimore 2 years and Deebo could be one year. That is much better than AP signing guys to three or four year high dollar deals. Produce or you are gone.
