I doubt it. It's supposed to go to every player he coached over 36 years. He stopped coaching in 1997 so they are a little out of the NCAA's grasp

My guess is most of them wont cash it and will do exactly that. It's really cool of a coach to do that for all his players. Classy move.

Yea NCAA can't do anything about that. All those former players are no longer enrolled in College and he left them all $200.00 in his will. You can will anyone anything.

Sounds like he left the $$, so his players could enjoy a nice dinner. Really classy move. I take back my comment above, because it sounds like Dean wanted all the players to cash the check and take their families out for a nice meal.

Can't you go to the bank to cash it and ask for it back? They only need the routing number off of it anyway. I think they'll put a "paid" stamp on it or something and give it back.
